---Statement of Faith

The Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and contains answers to our circumstances. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God is the Creator of Heaven and earth; the sustainer of all things. There is but one God: perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, unbounded in power, and measureless in love. The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM.” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19)

God the father is the author of eternal salvation, having loved the world and given His Son for its redemption. (John 3:16)

Jesus the Messiah, our Lord and Savior, lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross as our substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. (Hebrews 4:15)

Salvation is the gift of God through grace and faith in Jesus Christ. There is no name, except that of Jesus Christ, by which man may be saved. By turning from sin to repentance and trusting in Christ and His death, man is born again into eternal life by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12)

The Holy Spirit is the power of God and indwells the believers; He was active in the creation of all things and continues to be so in providence. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and He regenerates, sanctifies, baptizes, illuminates, comforts, and guides believers. (John 14:15-17; John 14:26, Acts 1:8)

Man is created in the image of God, but separated from God because of sin. Without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:12)

Water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, is the way for believers to identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. (John 3:5-7; Romans 6:4)

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. He helps empower the believer to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God’s will. (Matthew 3:11)

God gives all believers spiritual gifts. They are for the strengthening of God’s people (the Church) and proof of God’s existence and power to unbelievers. The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

Sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God’s character to be developed in us. (John 17:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:23)

God’s will is Church participation and He admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures, and for mutual encouragement. (Hebrews 10:25)
